Liposuction is a surgical procedure that improves the body contour by removing excess fat deposits that are located between the skin and muscle. Liposuction involves the use of a small stainless steel tube, called a cannula. The cannula is connected to a powerful suction pump to absorb fat through small incisions that the surgeon will perform on the skin.
