What is the PRP treatment?
The Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) treatment is a technique of hair biostimulation that uses growth factors from the patient’s own blood to stimulate the scalp and reactivate natural hair growth. How do we obtain Platelet-Rich Plasma? First, at the doctor’s surgery, a small blood sample is taken from the patient. The sample is then processed in a centrifuge – in our own clinic for the patient’s best convenience – to separate the suitable plasma fractions o PRP from the rest of the blood. The PRP is then administered via micro-injections into the areas of the scalp affected by baldness, loss of volume or thinning. This procedure is practically painless and the possible discomfort can be minimized by the application of cold or small dosis of anaesthetic.
What results do we obtain?
In the hair field we mainly obtain the following: • Activation of tissue regeneration; • Stimulation of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin formation; • Improvement of blood circulation through the hair follicles; This is why the first benefit we can observe is that the hair stops falling.
