What is the APOLLO Method?
The APOLLO Method (Endoscopic Gastric Plication) is an effective technique for weight loss that is performed through an endoscopic intervention, without the need for open surgery. It is possible to reduce the size of the stomach by performing internal sutures in the gastric cavity, using an endoscope that is inserted through the patient’s mouth. The intervention is performed in a safe operating room and with the best specialists, under general anesthesia, and does not require hospital admission or a long postoperative period.
Who is it for?
This method is aimed at people with grade 1 to morbid obesity (a Body Mass Index (BMI) between 30 and 40) who need to lose between 15 kg and 35 kg and have failed other non-surgical weight loss treatments.
